			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I heard people talking at the general store. The next Paul Bunyan they declared. Around the pot bellied stove by the counter, dozens of people came and went, none were surprised. I went for a visit. My eyes were wide open. &#8220;That&#8217;s just the way things are done around the bay&#8221;. Some said he just didn&#8217;t know better. Some looked down on him as too ambitious. Said he didn&#8217;t respect his elders or traditional ways. <p>A number of years ago while driving back from visiting a historic  Chesapeake small town we came to a bend in the road. We were greeted  with thousands of dead chickens, a dozen workers running around chasing  live chickens and some picking up the dead birds.</p>
<p>Maybe, just maybe, beware roadside BBQ chicken  stands with too good to be true &#8220;sale&#8221; prices!  Just kidding.</p>
